Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- An associate degree in a business or finance-related field is preferred.
- Previous financial and customer service experience.
- An appropriate knowledge and background of office procedures.
- Strong computer skills including data entry Excel and Word processing.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize time effectively.
- The ability to read and interpret regulations. Enforce regulations as required.
- Excellent organizational skills and an attention to detail.
- Excellent people skills including phone technique with an affinity for helping students resolve financial situations. Must enjoy working as part of a team and assisting visitors students and staff.
REPORTS TO: Finance Officer Vice President
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect payment for student tuition & fees and the emergency loan fund.
- Manage outstanding student account balances ensuring timely communication with students regarding their accounts.
- Initiate and monitor student accounts placed with external collections.
- Establish and track payment plans for student account balances.
- Distribute refund checks each semester.
- Contact students with outstanding refund checks.
- Oversee all campus parking initiatives including managing parking permits and maintaining accurate parking records.
- Coordinate the processing of parking tickets violations and appeals in accordance with college policies.
- Collect payment for parking violations.
- Process student withdrawal forms.
- Assist the business office as needed.
- Support other student services offices as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Twelve-month contract with salary and benefits set by the Watertown School Board.
