SENIOR ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST Live Production WILLMAR CORPORATE(WILLMAR MN)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enters WEM usage and pricing daily into Red River and MTech systems to ensure accurate feed production and cost tracking.
Processes accounts payable invoices for outside feed purchases and enters corresponding feed deliveries into the inventory system to ensure accurate cost tracking.
Creates and issues accurate feed sales billings by preparing detailed invoices validating pricing and quantities and ensuring all accounts receivable activities are completed promptly
Completes month-end duties including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Serves as the primary accounting contact for Feed Mill staff by addressing inquiries troubleshooting issues and providing guidance on accounting processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

Discipline forward thinking and self-motivated.
Strong analytical written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Able to prioritize and organize workload.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred:

A two-year degree or more than 2 years experience in related accounting discipline.
Experience running reports and trouble shooting from various systems to get desired result.

At Hormel Foods base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $21.00 - $29.25 per hour and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge skill set level of experience and geographic market location.
