Position Summary
The SCAPE Study offers an exciting opportunity for a highly organized results-driven and dedicated Manager Research Program Development. We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven ability to lead complex multi-stakeholder projects from inception through completion.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader who thrives in dynamic research environments demonstrating exceptional organizational communication and problem-solving skills. Experience managing cross-functional teams coordinating with sponsors and delivering projects on time within scope and on budget is essential.

This role requires flexibility in work hours to accommodate project demands. The successful candidate will exhibit professionalism initiative and strong organizational skills effectively managing multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and high standards of quality across all study activities.

  • Advanced data management and analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis software.
  • Proficient in project management tools with excellent organizational planning and time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated aptitude with health monitoring devices and digital health applications.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong initiative sound judgment and professionalism.
  • Ability to set priorities and work independently with accuracy in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

  • Flexible and quick to learn new software research methods and workflows.

Duties
The Manager Research Program Development will play a key leadership role in ensuring the successful delivery of the SCAPE Study. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage all aspects of the SCAPE Study to ensure timely high-quality and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop oversee and monitor project budgets in collaboration with leadership ensuring alignment with sponsor institutional and study objectives.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to ensure efficient study operations and strong team performance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements to support program success.
  • Collaborate closely with scientific leaders investigators hospital management and research staff to ensure integrated and compliant program delivery.
  • Track project progress prepare regular updates and recommend actions to achieve milestones.
  • Anticipate resource needs and provide ongoing support and guidance to staff throughout the study lifecycle.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders fostering collaboration and constructive problem-solving.
  • Manage industry-sponsored research protocols and ensure compliance with institutional ethical and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with sponsors and regulatory bodies during audits and monitoring visits.
  • Prepare and submit REB amendments maintain current ethics documentation and support related administrative processes.
  • Facilitate training sessions and coordinate with referral sites to achieve study enrollment and operational goals.
  • Support the development of infrastructure and reporting systems for timely stakeholder updates.

Qualifications :

  • At minimum completion of a Masters degree in a health or business-related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible project management experience in a healthcare and/or research environment.
  • 5 years in a program management/development role required.
  • Strong understanding of research ethics REB processes and data privacy regulations.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience in clinical trials health research or implementation science preferred
  • Experience developing and managing research budgets and funding transfers (i.e. FC creation and reconciliation).
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) preferred.
  • Familiarity with UHN financial administrative and electronic medical record system preferred.
