As a Manager of Software Engineering-AI/Agentic AI at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology - Consumer and Community Banking Risk team you lead a team of Software engineers and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your teams work adheres to compliance standards business requirements and tactical best practices.
Job responsibilities
Provides guidance to immediate team of 6-7 software engineers on daily tasks and activities
Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output practices and collaboration
Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
Manages stakeholder relationships and the teams work in accordance with compliance standards service level agreements and business requirements
- Creates a culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied addition demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
- Previous hands-on experience with public cloud.
- Previous hands-on experience leading technology projects
- Prior experience managing technologists
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
- Knowledge of Computer Science Information Systems or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience working at code level
- Experience/Exposure to Business Rules development ( DROOLS IBM ODM or similar)
- Exposure to AWS having cloud certifications will be an advantage
