Position Overview

The Vice President Resource Management is a senior strategic leader responsible for overseeing agency-wide workforce planning utilization strategy and operational efficiency across disciplines. This individual partners closely with executive leadership to ensure BGBs talent resources are optimally aligned with client demands business growth and profitability goals.

Acting as a critical bridge between operations finance and department leadership the VP will drive forward-looking capacity planning implement best-in-class systems and processes and provide strategic oversight of all resourcing functions to support a balanced scalable and high-performing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Resource Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of BGBs overarching resource management strategy to support short- and long-term business objectives.
  • Partner with executive leadership to forecast staffing needs across all functions (Account Creative Medical Project Management Studio and Support).
  • Ensure agency utilization targets client deliverables and profitability goals are met through proactive workforce and pipeline planning.
  • Oversee headcount planning hiring prioritization and freelance optimization in partnership with Talent Acquisition and Finance.

Operational Excellence

  • Drive continuous improvement of resource management systems and tools (e.g. OpenAir TeamOhana) to enable accurate real-time visibility into capacity and utilization.
  • Establish consistent processes and metrics for workload balancing cross-functional collaboration and project allocation.
  • Lead scenario planning to model various staffing outcomes and inform executive decision-making during growth or restructuring periods.

People & Performance Leadership

  • Manage and mentor the Resource Management team fostering a culture of collaboration accountability and operational rigor.
  • Partner with department heads to identify skill gaps and develop long-term workforce development and training plans.
  • Provide thought leadership on organizational design and role optimization to improve team efficiency and employee engagement.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with Client and Project Management leadership to anticipate staffing needs based on client demand and new business opportunities.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to Finance and Operations in aligning resourcing with revenue forecasts and capacity models.
  • Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to define staffing strategies and ensure seamless onboarding and integration of new hires and freelancers.

Data Insights & Reporting

  • Deliver executive-level reporting on utilization capacity profitability and operational KPIs.
  • Translate data insights into strategic recommendations for leadership on hiring workload distribution and process optimization.
  • Champion data accuracy and transparency across systems to inform decision-making at all levels.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in Resource Management Operations or Project Management within a creative or healthcare agency environment.
  • Proven experience leading a Resource Management function or equivalent operational team at scale.
  • Strong financial and business acumen with a demonstrated ability to connect resourcing strategies to broader business outcomes.
  • Expertise in resource management systems and analytics-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional leadership communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at the executive level.

Salary Range: $185000 - $215000

The salary range provided is for the NYC-hybrid position which requires occasional in-office presence and represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB. For candidates in other locations salary will be adjusted to reflect local market rates. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit including experience (both direct and indirect) education training demonstrated qualifications and organizational need. Salary is only one component of the total rewards package offered at BGB Group.
