The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University (LKSOM) and Temple University Hospital (TUH) invite applications and nominations for the position of Division Chief Burn Surgery and Medical Director Burn Unit Temple University Hospital (TUH). This is an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished academic surgeon to lead a highly regarded burn program at one of the nations premier urban academic medical centers.
The Division Chief Burn Surgery and Medical Director Burn Unit TUH will be responsible for maintaining and advancing excellence in all aspects of burn care including acute inpatient management surgical intervention critical care and outpatient services. The role includes oversight of program operations quality and safety initiatives faculty development and academic productivity. The new leader will also play a vital role in the education of surgical residents fellows and medical students and is expected to foster a collaborative multidisciplinary environment that supports innovation and continuous improvement.
Temple Burn Center
Temple Burn Center admits approximately 300 acute burns annually and treats >1600 outpatients in the burn clinic. The burn unit is a 10-bed freestanding ICU with an attached procedure room and burn-competent nurses therapists nutritionists and psychologists. The burn center provides a full continuum of burn care from acute resuscitation and surgical management laser therapy and scar reconstruction to outpatient management rehabilitation and survivor support. Patients treated at Temple receive the highest-quality care in a compassionate patient-centered environment provided by dedicated staff.
