Job Summary
Self-Directed Support Professional Advertisement - Community Habilitation (MG-MB)
ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with a kind polite and shy young woman who enjoys doing crafts and working on this role you will provide support to her while she attends classes at Inclusive U at Syracuse University. You will assist with note-taking navigating the campus accessing school email SUs online blackboard and helping her engage in on-campus activities. You will also assist her with other recreational activities that she is interested in participating in as well as improving her independent living skills. She is seeking a friendly individual with strong organizational skills. Please respond with a resume or summary of experience.
Hours and Days of work:
Current schedule would be Monday Wednesday and Fridays to align with her Inclusive U class schedule.
Payrate:
$20.00 per hour. EFR is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work independently in the persons home and/or community.
- Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
- No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
- New York State Drivers license reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
Background check fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
