About the position
Chevron ENGINE has an exciting opportunity for a Front-end Technical Specialist: Benchmarking Target Setting & Performance to join the ENGINE Innovation team; this role will be based in Chevrons office in Bengaluru.
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.
Front-end technical specialist designs and delivers high-performing analytics and data visualization that support Chevrons ENGINE and business leaders in decision making on complex issues across benchmarking target setting and performance. This includes building enterprise-level dashboards and applications using PowerBI with clear accountability for intuitive dashboard design and seamless ownership of new and existing benchmark views while ensuring business users can easily interpret insights. The specialist will collaborate with business leads and database teams to deliver actionable insights and interactive dashboards that support enterprise-wide benchmarking and performance insights
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable enterprise-level and user-intuitive dashboards and report apps in Microsoft Power BI
Engage with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate data and complex analyses into intuitive business-friendly visualizations that support decision-making
Continuously refine dashboards based on user feedback to improve clarity usability and adoption
Develop performant SQL and Python workflows for data preparation statistical analysis and feature engineering that power front-end experiences
Implement intuitive user interfaces that connect to AI/ML services to visualize benchmarks surface anomalies and deliver predictive insights enabling business users to set and track performance targets in real time
Provide training and guidance to end-users on data access tools and reporting interfaces
Enforce data quality privacy and access controls across reports and workspaces; align with enterprise information security requirements
Maintain auditability and lineage for all published content; ensure naming tagging and catalog entries meet pre-established IT standards
About you
Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems Engineering or a related field
5-10 years of experience in production analytics with a focus on front-end data visualization
Advanced proficiency in enterprise-grade Microsoft Power BI and related workflows
Familiarity with applying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques to produce proactive insights across complex data structures
Solid grasp of user experience (UX) principles accessibility and information design.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to simplify complex topics for non-technical audiences
