The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Member Services Crew Member to join our small dedicated team. This position blends customer service sales and operational support. The ideal candidate will excel at building relationships driving member engagement and contributing to the success of our sailing club and school. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing business where your efforts directly impact our community as well as your individual professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• We are a leisure business to be sure: we are on campus on weekends and this position will be full time Thursdays through Mondays.
• Provide exceptional service to members and prospective clients ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and enthusiasm.
• Support membership sales and retention by engaging with potential and current members promoting club offerings and answering inquiries.
• Assist in marketing efforts including campaigns social media and event coordination to attract new members and enhance the clubs visibility.
• Occasionally support fleet operations and preparation to ensure a seamless experience for members and students.
• Uphold and promote Island Sailings values fostering a positive collaborative and inclusive environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience in sales customer service or a related role ideally in a club setting (e.g. country clubs athletic clubs).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• A proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on teamwork and member satisfaction.
• Sailing experience or knowledge is a major plus. We do offer complimentary sailing lessons to help you grow your skills.
• A passion for being part of a growing business with the ambition to develop along with it.
