Position Overview The Inventory Control Data Analyst ensures inventory accuracy and operational efficiency by analyzing ERP data (primarily SAP) identifying root causes of variances and implementing process improvements. This role develops dashboards and reporting tools supports physical inventory programs maintains master data integrity and collaborates with procurement production warehouse and quality teams to reduce discrepancies and optimize inventory performance. The Inventory Control Data Analyst ensures inventory accuracy and operational efficiency by analyzing ERP data (primarily SAP) to investigate and resolve stock variances and discrepancies. This role develops and automates dashboards and reports in SAP Tableau and Excel and extracts transforms and validates data to support root cause analysis and decision making. The analyst leads inventory cycle counts physical inventories and audit activities monitors key inventory KPIs and partners with procurement production warehouse and quality teams to identify process gaps and implement improvements. They recommend safety stock and reorder policies maintain master data quality drive continuous improvement initiatives and provide training and data-driven guidance to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities - Perform end to end inventory analysis and reconciliation using ERP data (primarily SAP) to investigate and resolve stock variances shrinkage and discrepancies.
- Develop maintain and automate inventory and operational dashboards and reports in SAP Tableau and Excel (including PivotTables advanced formulas and macros).
- Extract transform and validate data from SAP and other systems for reporting root cause analysis and decision support.
- Lead and support cycle counts physical inventories and audit activities; analyze results and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on inventory KPIs such as inventory accuracy days of inventory on hand (DOH) fill rate service level and inventory turns.
- Partner with procurement production warehouse and quality teams to identify process gaps and implement inventory control improvements.
- Recommend and model optimal safety stock and reorder policies using historical demand lead time and variability analyses.
- Maintain and improve master data quality (e.g. item master location mapping BOMs) to ensure accurate system transactions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (root cause analysis standard work SOP updates) to reduce recurring inventory issues.
- Provide training and data driven guidance to operational stakeholders.

Qualifications/Experience/Competencies Required: - Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Industrial Engineering Engineering or a related field.
- 4 years of progressive experience in inventory control supply chain analysis or related analytical roles (mid to senior level).
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP (inventory MM/WM/EWM modules preferred) data extraction transaction analysis and inventory postings.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (Power Query PivotTables advanced formulas VBA/macros a plus).
- Proven experience building and maintaining interactive dashboards and visualizations in Power BI.
- Strong analytical problem solving and data validation skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills able to convey technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work on site in Waco TX.
- Experience with SQL or other query languages for data extraction.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP best practices.
- Certifications such as APICS/CPIM CSCP Six Sigma or Lean are a plus.
- Prior experience implementing inventory improvement projects (cycle count programs root cause elimination process automation).
- Experience working in manufacturing or distribution environments.
