Job Overview: The Store Associate works with the Sales and Customer Services Representatives to fulfill orders and provide internal customer service for Transmotion at the Iron Mountain location.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist the location sales representative(s) with sales and customer service duties.
- Promptly answer and fulfill orders for walk-in customers.
- Assemble hydraulic hose assemblies to walk-in customer specifications
- Promptly answer and respond to incoming phone calls from customers and vendors.
- Seek to understand customer relationships to recognize and seek opportunities to grow the business through recommendations and suggestive selling.
- Effectively and process orders and quotes.
- Conscientiously update and organize customer files and contracts.
- Confirm Purchase Orders are received at suppliers and examine quantity pricing and delivery date.
- Contact suppliers and communicate with suppliers to determine expected delivery dates of purchase orders and inform departments affected by the whole company.y
- Work with location sales representative(s) to efficiently manage delivery times.
- Maintain customer accounts and efficiently process customer and vendor returns and credits.
- Support continuous improvement and quality objectives.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 18 years of age
- Manufacturing experience is a plus
- Intermediate level computer skills i.e. Word and Excel.
- Ability to type 35 wpm with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
- Ability to apply general pricing apply basic math; add subtract multiply and divide as well as working with percentages decimals and fractions.
Work Environment:
At any one of the Value Added Companies (VAC) the environment can be associated with manufacturing office retail and laboratory. The manufacturing environment and laboratory requires Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as defined by each facility. PPE could include eye protection face shield gloves masks and closed toed shoes.
The manufacturing environment is not always climate controlled and may become warm in the summer and cooler in the winter. The office space is climate controlled by the season and location of the facility. This position will require sitting for long periods of time to perform the required duties frequently speaking with sales customers and coworkers. The individual will require fine motor skills using hands fingers and arms operating office equipment ability to read customer information service tickets and follow screen prompts. Iron Mountain
