Compensation and Benefits


Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $10000 - $11666 per month

Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $5053 - $16221 per month


Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on the strength of is a CSU Management Personnel Plan (MPP) position.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical dental and vision plans membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) sick and vacation time and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

The Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships provides strategic leadership administrative oversight and policy direction for the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. This position ensures compliance with all federal state CSU and institutional regulations and supports student access and success through equitable and effective distribution of financial resources. The Director works collaboratively across campus to support enrollment management goals and fosters a student-centered service model.

Key Qualifications

  • Ability to facilitate group participation consensus building and foster employee development through coaching counseling and training.
  • Maintain compliance with federal state campus and CSU System regulatory and statutory policies procedures and programs
  • Exercise sound administrative judgment and initiative in the development of new methods and procedures and in the solution of difficult personnel problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to conduct financial aid presentations in group settings as well as individual.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and manage work in a fast paced team-based environment while maintaining flexibility in response to constantly shifting priorities.
  • Review and evaluate program service delivery methods and systems including administrative and support systems and internal relationships to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to standard operating procedures

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in related field plus five years of progressively responsible professional work experience in higher education/financial aid administration which includes a minimum of four years leading and/or supervising the work of others; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Department Summary

The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships provides student access to post-secondary education and supports the Universitys enrollment efforts by administering and/or coordinating all student financial aid programs at California State University Fresno.
