DTU Chemistry is seeking a talented researcher to develop advanced thermodynamic models for predicting phase equilibria and thermophysical properties of PFAS. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career scientist to build a strong foundation and conduct cutting-edge research at the forefront of the field.
PFAS are highly persistent environmental contaminants that pose serious ecological and health risks. Their low concentration and complex behavior make experimental analyses challenging. Developing reliable predictive models is essential to reduce the reliance on experiments and enhance the accuracy of property and phase equilibrium this project we aim to advance the COSMO-based thermodynamic models to accurately predict the phase equilibria and key physicochemical properties of PFAS thereby supporting environmental risk assessments and optimization of removal technologies.
Responsibilities and qualifications
The postdoctoral researcher will work on the thermodynamic modeling of PFAS-containing mixtures focusing on improving predictive models such as COSMO-RS for phase equilibria and relevant physicochemical properties.
The ideal candidate should have:
As a formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).
