HOURLY SALARY:$25.90/hour

Applicants for Childrens Services positions cannot provide foster care for children in the custody of Hamilton County.
REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION EXPERIENCE LICENSURE CERTIFICATION):
  • 24 months training or experience in Child Support state and/or federal rules regulations & law
  • 12 months training or experience involving writing business correspondence or preparation of reports
  • 100 hours training and/or experience in interviewing
  • 100 hours training or 1-month experience in public relations or equivalent
  • Upon employment must be eligible to obtain Notary Public for the State of Ohio in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 3111.53 and Ohio Administrative Code Section 5101:. Maintain Administrative Hearing Officer accreditation by completing 10 hours of annual administrative hearing officer training sponsored by the Ohio CSEA Directors Association for new hires; then 8 hours every year thereafter
JOB DUTIES (SUMMARY):
Employee shall establish administrative paternities by processing 98% of cases assigned within 45 days.
Employee shall issue hearing reports within 5 days on 98% of administrative modification hearings scheduled.
Employee shall establish support orders by processing 98% of cases assigned within 35 days of being received.
Employee shall collaborate with their team leader information systems quality assurance and others as necessary to enhance data collection analysis and report initiatives within the administrative hearing program area. This includes but is not limited to establishing reasonable expectancies for worked performed within the hearing unit providing input of how data should be collected and reported and establishing more refined major work objectives for future evaluation periods.
Attends conferences and training.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:(*Indicates can be developed after employment)
Knowledge of:public relations; human relations; agency policies and procedures (child support regulations) *; interviewing; law (child support law)
Ability to:define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions; prepare meaningful concise and accurate reports; gather collate and classify information about data people or things; handle sensitive inquiries from and contacts with officials and general public
Skill in: operating agency networked personal computer software and program operating systems. *
ESSENTIAL JOB FACTORS:
  • Must undergo a background check via the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI). Must have a car valid drivers license issued by the state of residency and required auto liability insurance.
BACKGROUND CHECKS REQUIRED:
Background checks consistent with requirements in OAC 5101:2-5-09 must be completed at employment and every ten years following including but not limited to the following systems:
  • State Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS)
  • State Child/Abuse Neglect Central Registry Check for any state in which the applicant resided within the last five years
  • Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification Investigation (BCI)
  • FBI
  • National Sex Offender Public website () Code 5101:2-5-09 must be conductedfor each prospective employee
