A well established Title Company is seeking a highly organized proactive and solid Escrow Officer who can manage real estate transactions from the very beginning through the final closing across the Texas market. This includes opening the file coordinating all parties clearing title preparing documents and guiding the transaction all the way to completion. This role is central to delivering accurate timely and seamless closings while maintaining the highest standards of client service.
Success in this position requires a strong command of Texasspecific title practices and strict adherence to regulations set by the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI).
Primary Responsibilities- Oversee the complete closing cycle for residential and commercial transactions in accordance with Texas requirements.
- Prepare review and finalize essential closing documentsincluding Settlement Statements (CD/HUD1) ensuring full compliance with the Texas Title Insurance Basic Manual.
- Act as the main point of contact for lenders agents attorneys and clients to coordinate efficient and timely closings.
- Identify and resolve complex transactional issues while maintaining compliance with TDI regulations title industry standards and internal audit protocols.
- Partner with the Title Examiner/Closer to clear title issues and complete curative work prior to closing.
- Maintain accurate auditready transaction files and documentation for regulatory and internal review.
Required Qualifications- 23 years of proven experience as an Escrow Officer or Closer in Texas.
- Active Texas Escrow Officer License issued by TDI or current progress toward obtaining one.
- Strong working knowledge of Texas title procedures promulgated forms and regulatory compliance.
- Must hold a Texas Notary Public commission or be willing to obtain one immediately upon hire.
- Proficiency with leading title/escrow software such as SoftPro RamQuest Qualia or ResWare.
- Exceptional attention to detail organizational strength and the ability to manage a high volume of files.
- Excellent communication negotiation and collaborative problemsolving skills.
