Ability to wear a respirator

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Hospital or healthcare security experience
Prior law enforcement military or criminal justice experience
CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification
Healthcare security certification

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients visitors and staff
Perform entry screening ID checks badge enforcement and patrols (foot and vehicle)
Respond to routine and emergency security calls and document incidents
Provide visitor assistance wayfinding and customer service
Assist clinical teams during aggressive patient situations and restraint events
Enforce enterprise security policies and escort unauthorized individuals

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED (required)
PA Act 235 certification (must be active prior to submission)
Active drivers license with clean driving record (required)
Ability to qualify for CHOP insurance and drive CHOP vehicles
Willingness to obtain CPI certification within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates degree in Criminal Justice Management or related field
1 year experience in hospital security law enforcement military or related field
Certified Healthcare Security Officer (IAHSS)
