The Georgia State University/Georgia Tech Center for Advanced Brain Imaging (CABI) is looking for a Research Scientist Senior to join our team! CABI is focused on providing advanced brain imaging resources to the Atlanta area neuroscience community.
The Research Scientist Senior will be responsible for the overall strategic planning administrative leadership and operational management of the center. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the center functions efficiently complies with regulatory requirements and supports cutting-edge research activities. The Research Scientist Senior will also work closely with principal investigators research staff and center administrative staff as well as institutional leadership to advance the centers scientific mission.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Research Scientist Senior are the following:
Partner with the Technical Director to develop and implement long-term strategies that drive growth innovation and sustainability of the MRI core.
Oversee daily operations including scheduling workflow optimization budgeting facilities management vendor relations and resource allocation.
Supervise administrative staff and coordinate with research technologists ensuring compliance with institutional policies federal/state regulations and safety protocols (HIPM IRB MRI standards).
Manage budgets financial reporting and grant fund administration in partnership with finance and sponsored research offices.
Serve as the primary liaison with investigators assisting with study design protocol development scheduling grant proposals and fostering multi-institutional interdisciplinary partnerships.
Collaborate on policy development enforce operational procedures and ensure accreditation with relevant regulatory and safety bodies.
Minimum Hiring Requirements
PhD and three years of related experience or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
Doctoral degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
2 years experience with MRI protocol administration and adherence
2 years experience with IRB compliance
Experience with/knowledge of GSU systems (COINS Spectrum IRBwise)
Knowledge and/or experience with environmental health and safety protocol compliance
Experience with financial budgeting and projections
