Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in behavioral health or psychiatric settings

• Administer medications and monitor for effectiveness and side effects

• Conduct assessments document patient progress and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

• Implement individualized care plans focusing on safety de-escalation and patient well-being

• Deliver compassionate trauma-informed care for patients across adolescent adult and geriatric populations

• Maintain accurate records in compliance with facility and state regulations

• Support therapeutic groups and reinforce treatment plans

• Respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies following established protocols

• Supervise and support LVNs PCTs or other staff members as appropriate

• Uphold infection control safety and confidentiality standards

Qualifications

• Current active RN license in the state of Texas

• BLS certification (required); CPI or equivalent crisis intervention certification preferred

• Must pass a Central Abuse Registry check prior to assignment

• Minimum of 18 months of experience in behavioral health psych or related care setting

• Excellent clinical assessment communication and crisis management skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs assist with mobility and work on your feet for extended periods

• Compassionate patient and professional approach to mental health care
