Job Summary
The Program Directors caseload will involve programs located in the Madison Area occasional travel to Baraboo & Lyndon Station is required.

This is not a traditional group home leadership role. This is an opportunity for a strong hands-on leader who thrives in high-acuity environments can confidently guide teams through crisis situations and is passionate about person-centered trauma-informed care.
What Youll Do
- Lead and oversee residential programs including high-acuity behavioral homes (AFH settings)
- Supervise coach and develop teams of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
- Drive implementation of Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) and partner on Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
- Provide leadership during crisis situations ensuring safe consistent and compliant responses
- Collaborate with families case managers and clinical teams to ensure quality care
- Manage program operations including staffing budgets and compliance
- Train new and existing staff on behavioral interventions safety protocols and best practices
- Conduct performance management including coaching evaluations and disciplinary action as needed
- Participate in an on-call rotation supporting both traditional and behavioral programs
Work Environment and Office Hours:
This position is in-office providing site supervision for direct care staff. This role involves typical office hours Monday through Friday full-time. Additionally the Program Director must have a flexible schedule with the ability to be on-call during the on-call rotation (this includes weekends and odd hours).
Travel to Baraboo and Lyndon Station required.
Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Human Services Psychology Social Work Behavioral Science or related field preferred
- 2 years of leadership experience including hiring coaching and performance management
- Required or strongly preferred:
- Experience supporting individuals with co-occurring developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses
- At least one-year hands-on experience with behavioral interventions and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
- Proven ability to manage crisis situations de-escalation and high-risk behaviors
- Experience in residential group home or behavioral health settings highly preferred
- Strong decision-making communication and organizational skills
- Valid drivers license reliable vehicle and acceptable driving record
