Job Summary

Are you a passionate and engaging Music Teacher looking for a rewarding new teaching opportunity from January We are working with a Good-rated secondary school in Cambridge seeking to appoint a committed and inspiring Music Teacher to join their Performing Arts department. This is a full-time permanent role suitable for both experienced teachers and confident ECTs who are excited to build their classroom identity and contribute to a dynamic creative faculty.

About the Role

You will teach Music across KS3 and KS4 delivering a curriculum that encourages creativity ensemble work musical literacy and performance confidence. The department places strong emphasis on practical music-making offering opportunities for students to work collaboratively compose arrange rehearse and perform.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to extra-curricular enrichment including:

  • Choir and vocal ensembles

  • Instrumental groups or bands

  • Seasonal concerts and school productions

The school welcomes teachers who bring their own artistic strengths whether instrumental vocal composition-focused or ensemble-led.

Person Specification

  • QTS (or completing induction) in Music

  • Strong practical musicianship and ability to model performance

Salary

Paid on MPS / UPS depending on experience. ECT support available.
