VHIR offers a position for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Clinical Biochemistry Drug Delivery and Therapy Group and support the research lines in development of diagnostic methods.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- PhD in Biology Biochemistry Biomedicine or a related field
- Training in protein engineering and mass spectrometry
- Fluency in English (professional level)
Desired:
- Fluency in Catalan and Spanish
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- At least two years experience working in mass spectrometry-based methods and protein engineering
- Background in chemistry applied to biological sciences
Desired:
- Ability to conduct research projects independently to prepare publications and to apply for competitive grants
- Experience in other basic molecular biology techniques (PCR Western Blot ELISA etc.) and cell culture
- Strong publication record
- Research stays abroad
- Desirable soft skills: Teamwork initiative a well-organised and responsible person
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Support the development of research lines related to diagnostic methods development including conducting experiments analysis of the results and organisation/coordination of the laboratory staff and students work.
- Prepare abstracts for scientific conferences and manuscripts for publication.
- Apply for competitive grants to fund projects or human resources.
Labour conditions:
- Full-time position: 40h/week
- Starting date: 1 December 2025
- Gross annual salary: 25.euros (Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
