Sous Chef Luxury Wine Estate Stellenbosch

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a skilled and creative Sous Chef to join a prestigious luxury wine estate located in the heart of Stellenbosch. This is an excellent opportunity for a culinary professional who thrives in a refined fast-paced kitchen and is passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation

  • Oversee and support junior kitchen staff fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork

  • Contribute to menu development incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients

  • Maintain strict hygiene safety and cleanliness standards in accordance with health regulations

  • Monitor stock levels control costs and ensure efficient kitchen operations

  • Uphold the propertys reputation for fine dining through consistency and attention to detail

Requirements:

  • Formal culinary qualification or equivalent professional training

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef within a fine dining or luxury hospitality environment

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills

  • Creative flair with an eye for detail and a passion for modern high-quality cuisine

  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure

Package:

  • Salary: R20000 R30000 per month (Negotiable depending on experience)

  • Full-time live-out position
