Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
- Monitor patient vital signs neurological status and assess any changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician.
- Educate patients and their families on care plans procedures and ongoing health management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities.
- Participate in patient assessments care planning meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the training and orientation of new nursing staff when required.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide crisis intervention as needed.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Desired Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse preferably in neurology or neuroscience.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
