Registered Nurse Med Surg (Night Shift)
- Location: Panama City FL 32401
- Shift: 12-hr Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Job Type: Permanent
- Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
- Compensation: (Negotiable based on experience)
Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care in accordance with established policies procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. The RN is responsible for assessing planning implementing and evaluating patient care needs ensuring high-quality and safe patient care throughout their shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients on the medical-surgical unit.
- Assess and monitor patients conditions identifying any changes that require intervention.
- Develop implement and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions treatments and care plans.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies.
Qualifications:
- Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact license. If using a compact license an active FL RN license must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider certification.
- Acute care RN experience required:
- Within the last 3 years for most candidates OR
- Within the last 5 years for candidates with several years of RN experience.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Strong customer service skills including effective listening and communication.
- Critical thinking sound judgment and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
