Job Summary

Network Engineer

Des Moines IA-(On-site)

6 Month Contract to Hire

Position Overview:

Solid knowledge of configuring and managing Cisco switches and routing protocols (especially OSPF and BGP).
Experience with network management tools (e.g. ISE Panorama); automation experience is a plus but not required.
Understanding of networking fundamentals including subnetting.

Operational Responsibilities:

Support and maintain network infrastructure across three affiliates including lifecycle projects new site installs switch/firewall replacements and incident response.
Participate in on-call rotation responding to NOC calls and potentially being on-site at the data center as needed.
Handle compliance duties including NERC CIP requirements and associated training.

Experience & Soft Skills:

Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience with a preference for candidates showing commitment (not frequent job changes).
Ability to work independently be self-motivated and learn quickly.
OT (Operational Technology) experience is a significant plus.
Ability to handle projects independently and work well within a team.
