Job Title: Dynamics 365 F&O Functional
Summary
The D365 Finance IT Manager will play a critical role in both the implementation and ongoing management of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) system. Initially this role will support the transition from Microsoft Great Plains to D365 F&O working closely with internal teams and external consultants. Post-implementation the manager will take full ownership of the system ensuring it runs smoothly evolves with business needs and continues to deliver value. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for a strategic and hands-on leader who can bridge technology and business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the implementation of D365 Finance ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines. Manage the legacy Great Plains environment during the transition period.
- Serve as the primary owner of D365 Finance post-implementation overseeing system performance updates and user support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements design solutions and support integrations.
- Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and ensure business continuity. Develop and maintain documentation for system processes user guides and best practices.
- Lead projects related to system upgrades enhancements and new module rollouts. Provide training and support to end-users to maximize adoption and effectiveness.
- Generate reports and performance metrics to inform stakeholders and drive continuous improvement. Act as a liaison between IT Finance and business leadership to ensure system alignment with evolving business needs.
Required Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Finance or a related field. Proven experience managing ERP systems (D365 F&O preferred but comparable systems acceptable).
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles and processes. Experience leading ERP implementations and managing post-go-live operations.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration and team development.
- Ability to travel monthly to client locations in Texas and Louisiana.
Work Site: Houston TX or Louisiana (Houma Baton Rouge New Orleans) - 3 days a week in office
Duration: 6 months
Expected Start Date: Immediate
