Who are we looking for

In response to ongoing growth in Alberta we are inviting applications for a Junior or Intermediate Project Engineer to join our Edmonton AB team. Working with our Edmonton Water Manager the position will manage with linear and vertical municipal infrastructure water and wastewater position will provide the opportunity to join our innovative supportive and dynamic water group. You will be working on a variety of infrastructure planning and implementation projects for both public and private clients. We have a large project portfolio that covers hydraulic modelling linear infrastructure (water and wastewater) liftstations and reservoir design asset management construction administration and inspection.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

Intermediate:

  • Supporting multi-disciplinary municipal water resources projects (typically water and drainage related)
  • Detailed studies and design tasks associated with water related projects including site civil conveyance and water resources projects
  • Coordinating design drawings and specification development
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams towards delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Hydraulic modeling may be required on some projects (software including PCSWMM Mike WaterCAD etc.). would be asset
  • Provide technical mentorship to Engineers-in-Training

Junior:

  • Assist Project Managers with various duties including project set-up invoicing financial and schedule management change management and other tasks
  • Contract Administration as required for a wide variety of construction projects
  • Hydraulic modeling may be required on some projects (software including PCSWMM Mike WaterCAD etc) would be an asset.
  • Writing reports and design briefs

What you will bring to the team:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience with experience in the water/municipal sectors. (1 years for Junior)
  • Working knowledge of linear and/or vertical infrastructure design
  • Working foundation of Project management principles and duties is an asset
  • Working knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics (Not required for Juniors but is an asset)
  • Working knowledge of contract and tender document development.
  • or qualified or eligible to obtain

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Applied Science in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical)
  • or qualified or eligible to obtain

Salary Range: $70035 - $116681 based on experience.
