Your role and responsibilities

This role will see you working within the waste team to improve waste and recycling services increase customer satisfaction and increase environmental outcomes. Projects will include; raising awareness about waste reduction and recycling services and opportunities through our social media platforms face to face events and other communication part of a dedicated team researching and analysing data as well as planning implementing and monitoring initiatives to move waste up the hierarchy and improve our services.

  • Work closely with team members to develop and implement campaign strategies.
  • Manage our social media platforms.
  • Develop messages to Suffolk residents on how to manage their rubbish encourage them to reduce reuse and recycle.
  • Look at ways to improve our recycling and waste services to Suffolk residents.
  • Work with the team to integrate new recycling service campaigns into our communication strategy.

You will oversee and manage our social media platforms and work as part of project teams on campaigns and initiatives such as our Food Savvy Campaign and promoting our recycling centre will also work as part of a team on other waste reduction campaigns such as home composting and our refill and repair campaigns.

You will need

  • Experience and passion for creating content both digital and physical.
  • Experience of communicating complex messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Passion for recycling and having a positive impact on our environment
  • Experience of communicating a range of messages to various audiences.
