About the Engagement
TalentBase is seeking an Independent Consultant Employer Outreach & Partnership Development to expand employer participation in the Veterans CareerBridge Program.
Youll manage your own outreach plan develop business relationships and secure employer program commitments. This role operates independently while aligning outcomes with TalentBases overall partnership goals.
Key Deliverables
- Conduct outreach to local employers through email phone and in-person engagement.
- Schedule and lead an average of two employer meetings per week.
- Maintain consistent outreach activity (five to six new contacts per week).
- Provide a brief weekly update summarizing outreach activity employer meetings and MOUs secured.
- Achieve two or more signed MOUs per month targeting at least five employer partners during the engagement term.
- Provide a brief monthly summary of outreach activity and outcomes.
This is a deliverables-based consulting engagement not an employee position.
Requirements
- Experience in outreach business development or workforce/community engagement.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated organized and results-oriented.
- Familiarity with veteran workforce or education sectors is a plus.
- Reliable transportation for local meetings and events.
- Must be able to operate as an independent 1099 consultant providing own schedule tools and business resources.
Benefits
Compensation
- Monthly Retainer: $3000
- Performance Incentive: Up to $500/month based on MOUs and deliverables achieved.
- Milestone Bonus: Additional incentive for exceeding five signed MOUs.
Engagement Terms
- Independent 1099 consulting agreement (46-month term renewable).
- Flexible schedule and hybrid work model (local travel required).
- Contractor is responsible for taxes insurance and expenses unless otherwise agreed in writing.
