Job Title: Epic Willow Inpatient Application Analyst Go-Live Support (Remote 3-Month Contract)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Epic Willow Inpatient Application Analyst to support a large health system through a major Epic go-live. This is a 3-month remote contract focused primarily on break/fix ticket support medication workflow stabilization and coordination with pharmacy and clinical teams in an inpatient setting.
The consultant will operate in a high-volume support environment helping ensure safe and efficient medication processes. Participation in an on-call rotation during the go-live window is required to assist with 24/7 inpatient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day break/fix support for Epic Willow Inpatient during and after go-live.
- Triage analyze and resolve application and workflow issues related to:

- Medication ordering workflows for inpatient units
- Dispensing workflows and automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis / Omnicell) integration
- Medication Administration Record (MAR) workflows
- Pharmacy verification workflows
- Compounding/IV workflows and batching
- Medication inventory and charge capture
- Work within the organizations ITSM/ticketing system to accurately track prioritize and document incidents and changes.
- Partner closely with pharmacists pharmacy technicians nursing staff and clinical leadership to understand issues and validate solutions.
- Conduct root cause analysis to resolve recurring issues and improve workflow consistency.
- Maintain and optimize Willow Inpatient build including:

- Medication dictionaries and formulary updates
- Order sets smart groups preference lists and decision support
- Dispensing cabinet configuration interfaces and queue routing
- Collaborate with other Epic and interfacing teams (e.g. ClinDoc Orders Cupid OpTime/Anesthesia Beacon Beaker and Interface/Integration teams) to support integrated workflows.
- Participate in on-call rotations (evenings nights weekends as needed) during the go-live and stabilization period.
- Follow organizational change control and governance standards for promoting fixes.
- Create and maintain knowledge articles workaround documentation and known issues lists for operational support transparency.
Contract Details
- Duration: Approximately 3 months with potential extension based on stabilization needs.
- Start Date: ASAP rapid onboarding required.
- Location: 100% remote; extended hours may be required during go-live and on-call coverage.
- Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week) with possible overtime during peak support periods.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Epic Willow Inpatient certification/accreditation or proven equivalent experience supporting the module.
2 years of experience as an Epic Application Analyst focused on pharmacy and inpatient clinical workflows.
At least one recent Epic go-live or large-scale upgrade supporting Willow Inpatient workflows.
Strong understanding of inpatient medication workflows including:
Pharmacy verification and dispensing
Medication Administration Record (MAR) processes
ADC workflows (Pyxis / Omnicell) and drug inventory management
Medication billing / charge capture considerations
Experience working in a ticketing/ITSM environment (ServiceNow Remedy Cherwell etc.).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills especially in a fully remote support model.
Ability and willingness to support flexible schedule and on-call rotation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting large health systems or multi-site hospital environments.
Familiarity with IV compounding workflows chemo prep sterile vs. non-sterile batching and infusion center workflows.
Knowledge of medication decision support (BPAs rules warnings).
Experience developing tip sheets troubleshooting guides and training materials for pharmacy and clinical staff.
Required Skills:
