Job Summary
Position Title: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Emergency Department
Location: Hyannis MA 02601
Job Type: Contract 13 Weeks 32 Hours/Week
Shift: Day Shift 3:00 PM 11:00 PM Rotating Days Every Other Weekend & Holiday
Pay Rate:$50 - $55/hr ($1650 weekly)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Emergency Departmentfor an exciting job in Hyannis MA.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough psychosocial assessments for patients presenting with behavioral health trauma substance use or social concerns in the ED.
Deliver crisis intervention short-term counseling and emotional support to patients and families.
Collaborate with physicians nurses and the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized care and discharge plans.
Coordinate referrals to community programs shelters behavioral health providers and social service agencies.
Complete mandated reporting (e.g. child or elder abuse domestic violence) in compliance with regulations.
Accurately document assessments interventions and discharge plans in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds care conferences and quality improvement initiatives.
Educate patients and families on coping strategies follow-up care and available support resources.
Maintain adherence to hospital policies confidentiality laws (HIPAA) and professional practice standards.
Qualifications
Licensure: Active Massachusetts LCSW or LICSW (Required)
Education: Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
Certifications:
BLS (AHA) Required
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Required
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent hospital-based or emergency department social work experience preferred
Skills:
Strong crisis management assessment and counseling abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Familiarity with community resources and case management practices
Proficiency in EMR documentation and interdisciplinary teamwork
