Job Summary
Trading Engineer - Execution
We are looking for a multi-talented and passionate Trading Systems Engineer to join our execution development team. You will join a team of motivated and experienced professionals committed to continual improvement and rigorous standards of operational excellence. You will be given a high degree of responsibility over a range of complex real-time system interactions and partner with technology and development teams to improve our execution systems.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure continuity of critical trading operations prioritizing resolution of system issues with a sense of urgency
- Partner with technology and trading teams to continually evolve and deploy system architecture
- Develop automation tools for system orchestration and upkeep
- Support core market connectivity and correspond with exchanges regarding trade order activity connectivity and other related technical issues
- Monitor trading system performance proactively identify issues and implement lasting solutions
Your Skills and Experience:
- 3 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering Systems Integration or a related role required
- 3 years of hands-on professional experience with Linux operating systems network configuration and server management required
- Bachelors in Computer Science Information Technology or related engineering disciplines
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals including network routing protocols TCP/UDP multicast network offload and kernel bypass technology required
- Proficiency in Python and Bash required
- Experience with MySQL MongoDB and NoSQL technology preferred
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technology preferred
- Experience with installing and configuring FPGA systems in a Linux environment preferred
- Self-driven and curious with the ability to solve problems uniquely specific to our trading setup and learn on the job
