Job Summary
A recognized leader in the thermal processing and environmental testing industries is seeking a dedicated Welder to join their 1st shift operations in New Columbia PA.
This is a 2nd shift opportunity Monday through Friday from 2:30PM to 11:00PM. A $1.00 per hour shift differential is also included.
Key Responsibilities:
-Mastery in electric arc-welding techniques including TIG and MIG to construct and assemble metal frames and components for advanced thermal processing equipment.
-Skillful manipulation of welding tools and equipment ensuring optimal settings for amperage voltage slope and pulse to achieve high-quality welds.
-Proficient in welding across various positions diligently inspecting welds to meet exacting standards and specifications.
-Commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient workspace executing weld preparation and finishing tasks with precision.
-Engagement in preparatory tasks such as preheating workpieces and securing them in jigs or fixtures for accurate welding.
-An educational background with a two-year welding certificate from a recognized institution or a combination of education and hands-on experience totaling six to twelve months.
-A deep understanding of language to interpret technical instructions and effectively communicate with team members.
-Solid mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations essential in welding tasks.
-An analytical mind capable of troubleshooting and solving complex problems with practical solutions.
-Basic computer proficiency to access and utilize job-related digital resources.
-A good eye for differentiating materials and a keen ability to read blueprints and schematics.
-Physical capability to meet the demands of the role including lifting standing and maneuvering within the workshop environment.
