Job Description:
Role Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Project Duration: Estimate of 6 months
Contract Terms: Initial 6-month contract with the potential for renewal in 3-month increments until project completion.
Role Overview:
Were hiring an Encompass Engineer with deep C#/.NET experience and hands-on RPA skills to lead our SDK deprecation and migration effort to Developer Connect and Web Plugins 2.0. This role is central to transforming legacy Encompass functionality into a modern API-first architecture while automating workflows that improve efficiency and scalability.
Youll design and deliver integrations build migration tooling create reliable automations and partner with product and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to business workflows.
What Youll Do:
- Lead migration of legacy Encompass SDK components to Developer Connect APIs and Web Plugins 2.0
- Design implement and maintain high-quality C#/.NET code for integrations plugins and migration utilities
- Build and operate RPA workflows (UiPath Automation Anywhere or equivalent) to eliminate manual work and improve throughput
- Integrate Encompass with internal services and third-party systems using RESTful APIs and web services
- Create tools and automation to validate migrated functionality and accelerate rollout
- Troubleshoot and support Encompass-related automation and integrations in production
- Drive best practices in code reviews automated testing monitoring logging and documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering product compliance and operations teams throughout the migration lifecycle
What Were Looking For
- 5 years of professional software development experience with C#/.NET
- 3 years of experience building or integrating with Encompass (plugins customizations or APIs)
- Hands-on experience with RPA platforms and live automation deployments
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs JSON/XML and system integration patterns
- Proven ability to deliver stable maintainable automation and integration solutions
- Excellent troubleshooting skills in complex multi-system environments
- Strong communicator who can partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience leading SDK deprecation or platform modernization projects
- Familiarity with Web Plugins 2.0 and Developer Connect API migrations
- Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms
- Background in CI/CD automated testing and observability
- Experience in mortgage operations or fintech
