The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our Balance Sheet Control function to join our team on a 12 month contract. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to learn and grow within a structured finance environment. Youll assist in maintaining accurate financial records performing reconciliations and supporting month-end processes under the guidance of senior team members.

How will you make an impact

  • Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.

  • Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and reviewing account balances.

  • Help investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data.

  • Maintain documentation and audit trails for balance sheet transactions.

  • Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes and controls.

  • Assist in preparing reports and schedules for internal and external audits.

About you

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (or currently studying).

  • Up to 2 years of experience in accounting or finance (internships or graduate roles welcome).

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.
