About the Role

You will play a vital role in ensuring the financial and operational success of our projects. Your expertise in analysing construction drawings performing quantity takeoffs and developing competitive cost estimates will help us deliver exceptional results for our clients.

This role involves collaboration with internal teams as well as direct interaction with clients and external stakeholders so confidence in communicating and presenting information is essential.

You will work closely with suppliers subcontractors and clients to mitigate risks and maintain transparency while balancing cost quality and profitability.

Here are some examples of what youll do:

Prepare work to be estimated by gathering drawings specifications and related documents

Obtain briefs from the sales team

Provide estimating take-offs via estimating software (CostX)

Obtain trade coverage and vetting quotes

Collate RFIs

Liaise with the Delivery team

Undertake site visits

Communicate clearly and professionally with clients to explain estimates address queries and support project feasibility discussions

Here is what will make you ideal for the role:

5 years estimating experience preferably with a Design and Construct company

Ideally workspace fit-out experience

Ability to read and comprehend drawings

Experience using CostX and EstimateOne or another tendering platform

Strong client-facing experience and the ability to build trust through clear and confident communication

Formal qualification such as a Bachelor of Construction Management or Civil Engineering

Our Estimators work on fast turnaround timeframes and we have many submissions on the go at once. We know some Estimators prefer to be on one project only for the long term

We have tried and tested systems and approaches so chances are we will ask you to do some things differently from your last role
