The Regional Admissions Counselor - Twin Cities will work out of the Twin Cities area and strive to recruit an academically-talented incoming student body from that region including the Twin Cities and northern MN. Being based in the territory they serve this admissions counselor will be a consistent presence at recruitment and community events and a resource for students and families interested in UW-Eau Claire.
Job Duties:
Represent UW-Eau Claire at high school visits educational fairs presentations and other outreach events throughout the Twin Cities metro area and virtual outreach events.
Contribute to the development of and implement recruitment efforts in Twin Cities area.
Evaluate first-year applications from Twin Cities and Northern MN territory with authority to decision.
Outreach to applicants and counselors to advise of Universities of Wisconsin and campus policies as it pertains to application requirements.
Explore develop and maintain new partnerships with school districts pre-college groups and community organizations to promote college readiness and UW-Eau Claire
Maintain strong relationships with students families and school staff within assigned Twin Cities territory through regional travel prompt communication and other methods.
Contribute to positive Admissions Office team environment through participation in weekly meetings in-person attendance as needed at large on-campus events and consistent communication with colleagues located on the UW-Eau Claire and UW-Eau Claire Barron County campuses
Work remotely to complete application follow-up student outreach event planning and other duties related to recruitment and processing
Other duties as assigned by Admissions and Enrollment Management Leadership

- 1-3 years professional experience preferably within a higher education recruitment communication or other related setting
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to: work independently evaluate and make independent decisions effectively solve problems recommend process improvements work under pressure to meet deadlines be detail-oriented
- Work location (or ability to relocate to work location) in the Twin Cities area that includes reliable internet connection and setting free from distractions that can be used to conduct frequent virtual meetings and phone calls
- Familiarity with student information systems customer relations management software and document imaging software experience planning events and activities prior knowledge of the Twin Cities metro area
- Bachelors degree from regionally-accredited institution
