Whats The Job The Production Shift Manager drives performance across manufacturing and warehouse operations ensuring each shift runs safely efficiently and with exceptional quality. This role leads teams optimizes processes and fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement to meet production goals and customer expectations.
What Youll Be Doing Stop Scanning and Read This Part - Lead manufacturing teams to achieve performance safety and efficiency goals.
- Ensure and promote all food safety and quality standards and regulations are met.
- Create and implement plans and objectives for employees to optimize operations performance.
- Recommend and lead deployment of workplace improvements and operational strategies to reach company objectives.
- Implement strategies in alignment with company initiatives and provide clear direction and focus.
- Implement and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Set project timelines and monitor progress through completion.
- Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity standards metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
- Prepare financial and productivity reports to document plant progress.
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address food safety risks throughout the production process with other food safety team members.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Other duties as assigned.
What Youve Done And Who You Are - Bachelors degree in Business or related field preferred.
- 35 years of direct food manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office.
- Excellent communication coaching and interpersonal skills.
- Adept at problem-solving and finding new perspectives to drive improvement.
- Able to build rapport quickly and influence at all levels of the organization from CEO to production operators.
- Self-motivated detail-oriented and results-driven with excellent follow-through.
- Experience and desire to support a culture built on collaboration sharing ideas and celebrating successes.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate in a fast-moving environment.
- Flexible willing and quick to learn new processes new technology and new ways of thinking.
