We currently have an opportunity for a Commercial Sales Advisor to join our team based in Walsall. Joining us on a full-time permanent basis you will receive a competitive salary of 26299 per annum depending on skills and experience plus excellent benefits.
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Advisor to join our growing commercial team within a B2B team to support business growth objectives by leading discussions to acquire retain and grow relationships with small and medium enterprises throughout the UK.
The job will involve quoting and contracting businesses via inbound and outbound calls whilst looking to grow the value of customer relationships through intelligent use of a range of value added services.
What youll be doing:
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience for all customers across all customer touch points and contact methods to ensure customers remain with our organisation as their preferred retailer of choice
- Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales
- Undertake customer switching activity for incoming customers in line with procedures and Service Level Agreements and ensure the transition is smooth and right first time.
- Make and maximise upsell opportunities for our value-added services using our UREP framework customer tariffs and payment schemes to our customers
- Respond to each contact appropriate to the customer and flexing the approach appropriately to align with the relevant brand standards and customer segmentation.
- Answer and resolve customer enquiries and complaints in an efficient courteous and professional manner delivering exceptional customer service at all times delivering a first contact resolution service.
- Liaise with other departments to facilitate seamless customer management
- To build rapport and have the ability to adapt and respond to a number of varying queries from customers and colleagues.
- Maintain the customer relationship database in a timely and accurate manner to provide the highest quality data
- Keep records of calls and sales and note useful information
- Contribute to the risk management process by providing qualitative performance feedback on wholesaler and contract supplier performance when required.
- Prepare high quality written correspondence and customer communications in an accurate timely and appropriate manner in line with procedures
- To take on extra responsibilities outside the core function as required by business
What we are looking for:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Proven experience delivering business to business customer service
- Customer service experience in the utility sector
- Ability to keep up with weekly deadlines and prioritise when necessary
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing and creating proposal and contract paperwork
- Financial and commercial acumen
- Confidence to speak on the phone regularly with customers and TPIs and to influence conversations to understand requirements gauge attitude and build relationships
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with varying departments and seniority levels
