The Opportunity

Our Slabmaking team at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a Process Engineer to join them! As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.

As a Process Engineer you will provide technical support on process safety and environmental matters such as BlueScopes carbon reduction initiatives. Youll support the day-to-day operations of the plant as well as investigating and implementing process improvement projects whilst championing a safety-first culture.

You will have the unique opportunity to acquire invaluable exposure to a broad variety of systems equipment and business areas all while being a part of Australias largest steel solutions provider. With your willingness to learn we will support you with on-going training and development. This role works Monday to Friday day shift.

What Will You Do

With your analytical hands-on approach you will:

provide process engineering support for the day-to-day operations of the plant
investigate and implement process improvement projects
deliver continuous improvement outcomes to support the production and supply of our products
be a part of the process engineering network across BlueScopes various sites

With a genuine interest to grow and develop your career you will bring:

a degree qualification in Engineering (Chemical) or similar
