From day one youll lead diverse projects; quoting tendering reviewing models and delivering high-quality outcomes. Youll be supported but trusted to drive results.

2. Mentor and Grow:

Within your first six months youll begin mentoring junior engineers transitioning from technical expert to team leader. Youll play a key role in shaping the next generation of flood modellers.

3. Build and Own:

Youll be actively involved in business development and strategic growth helping shape SWMs future. For the right person this path could include partnership or significant leadership opportunities.

What You Bring

• Hydrological & Hydraulic Modelling: Expert-level skills in RORB and TUFLOW (1D/2D).
• Project Scoping & Management: Proven ability to quote tender and manage multiple concurrent projects from small-scale developments to complex flood studies.
• Software & Analysis: Strong GIS capability (QGIS ArcGIS); HEC-RAS experience a bonus.
• Technical Reporting: Ability to translate complex model outputs into clear actionable advice for clients and stakeholders.
• Technical Guidelines: Ability to translate guidelines to ensure best practice modelling is achieved for all assessments.
• Experience: Typically 410 years experience in flood modelling with growing leadership responsibilities.
