What Youll Be Doing
As the Assistant Café Manager youll thrive in a fast-paced environment where multitasking and delivering exceptional customer service are key. Youll be responsible for serving customers efficiently managing transactions through our POS system and maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace in line with Fresh standards. Youll also assist in preparing a variety of food and beverages.
Your role will include a mix of hands-on service and operational support including:
- Overseeing both café sites
- Supporting the Café Manager with daily operations such as:
- Banking and cash handling
- Processing invoices
- Placing orders and managing inventory
- Conducting stocktakes
- Responding to customer enquiries and resolving issues
- Leading by example and motivating the team
The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:
- 3 years of hospitality experience
- Strong knowledge of general café operations in a fast-paced environment
- Catering experience is preferred but not essential
- Experience in a supervisory position is also desirable
- Strong barista skills are absolutely essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional time management skills and reliability
- Food Safety Certificate
- Unrestricted working rights
