Join our Global RAD Operations team and be part of the engine that keeps Amazons fulfillment centers running smoothly worldwide. As a Process Assistant at our flagship RAD1 site in Antioch Tennessee youll play a crucial role in ensuring Amazon operations sites get the tech equipment they need exactly when they need it.
What Makes This Role Special:
This isnt your typical support role. Youll be the critical link in our yard operations managing the flow of trucks and trailers through our Yard Management System (YMS). Your expertise in checking vehicles in and out will directly impact delivery operations across Amazons network. Working closely with Area Managers youll have your finger on the pulse of daily operations within RAD1 identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions that make a measurable difference in efficiency.
How Youll Contribute:
Every day youll be the bridge between different teams and departments ensuring seamless communication and operations. Youll maintain constant communication with inbound and outbound teams in our JANUS and STORES business units coordinating the movement of critical equipment and materials. Your role in yard support operations - from truck check-ins to trailer management through YMS - will be essential to keeping our supply chain moving. Youll provide critical updates to Operations and Area Managers throughout the day helping them make informed decisions that keep our operations running at peak performance.
Your Work Environment:
Youll be based at RAD1 in Antioch Tennessee working Monday through Friday from either 6am-2:30pm or 8:45am-5:15pm. This role requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can maintain yard access coverage to support our delivery operations. Youll work alongside Associates Area Managers support agencies and IT Managers in a collaborative team setting.
What Were Looking For:
We need a dynamic organized self-starter who can hit the ground running. You should be comfortable working independently while maintaining strong communication with multiple stakeholders throughout the day. Your ability to stay organized and proactive will be essential as you support various areas within our fulfillment operations. Additionally you will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to all yard safety protocols and overseeing yard safety compliance across operations.
Basic computer proficiency is required including familiarity with standard office applications and systems. Were looking for someone with a strong willingness and adaptability to learn new skills particularly the ability to deep dive into research and problem-solving when faced with new challenges or unfamiliar processes. Your curiosity and commitment to continuous learning will be key to your success in this role.
Key job responsibilities
Support communication of Yard Movement through YMS and Verbally
Support and work in assigned department as required
Support daily management of department duties and communicating with internal and external suppliers
Provide vacation coverage for Area Managers
Provide policy follow-up and attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)
Track and report labor hours
Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity
Fill in as needed with production duties
Fully understand workflow and daily production goals
Review and update SOP as required
Assist in keeping work area clean and organized
Identify and address safety hazards within the work area
Coach associates to work safely at all times
Participate in safety initiatives
Possess basic computer proficiency including familiarity with standard office applications and systems (Show strong willingness and adaptability to learn new skills and processes)
Conduct deep dive research and problem-solving when faced with new challenges or unfamiliar processes
Additional duties as assigned
- 1 years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- High school or equivalent
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area including weekends nights and/or holidays
- Can lift up to 49 pounds stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours and be able to frequently push pull squat bend and reach
- Work 40 hours/week and overtime as required
- 2 years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $46800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $57200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
