The Speech Therapist evaluates patients and develops a plan of treatment intended to decrease limitations from injury or disease and to maximize swallowing safety cognition and communication skills to the extent possible. The practice of speech pathology requires an in-depth knowledge of human growth and development human anatomy and physiology neuroanatomy neurophysiology and speech pathology theory. The therapist must be knowledgeable about disease processes and injuries which impair swallowing function and communication while considering ethnic cultural and socioeconomic influences on an individual. Services provided will be on an outpatient basis or occasionally in the home setting.
Qualifications :
What is required...
- Graduate of an accredited speech pathology program & currently licensed in the State of Washington
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Current CPR card (maintenance required)
What is preferred...
- Previous experience as a Speech Therapist
Additional Information :
Wage: Wage range currently starts at $41.12/hour and goes up to $62.33/hour. Actual wage will be based on years of applicable experience. This position may also be eligible to receive an additional 15% premium in lieu of benefits.
