Generator Service Technician

Location: Hilliard OH

Salary: $25-$42/hour

Generator Service Technician / Field Service Engineer will be joining an established power solutions service provider with decades of experience in the generator and standby power industry.

The Generator Service Technician / Field Service Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting maintaining and repairing power generation systems including diesel natural gas and standby generators ensuring safe reliable and efficient operation for clients across commercial and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Service repair and maintain standby power generators and associated systems (8.5kW3500kW range).
Perform diagnostics troubleshooting and rebuilds on diesel and natural gas engines.
Conduct failure analysis emergency call-outs and preventative maintenance.
Inspect and repair supporting systems including fuel cooling and electrical systems.
Operate load banks and accurately record test results.
Maintain company service vehicle tools and inventory to a professional standard.
Stay current with product updates manufacturer guidelines and safety procedures.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years experience servicing generator systems or similar power equipment.
Strong working knowledge of diesel engines control panels and electrical circuitry.
EGSA Certification preferred (not required).
Familiar with computer-based diagnostic tools and Microsoft Office applications
Valid drivers license with clean record.
Ability to work independently and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
