We are a district that serves over 6000 students and employs 725 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students three elementary schools for grades 1-4 two middle schools for grades 5-8 and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for identifying students with communication needs; planning and implementing appropriate research based treatment to minimize adverse impact on students success; and providing education and direction to school staff family and related service providers regarding the students communication needs. FTE: 1.0
Contract: 53 contract days (March 17 - June 5 2026)(approximate dates)(plus potential to start a day early for onboarding / training)
Requirements & Qualifications
Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field from an ASHA accredited university is required. MN Educational Speech Language Pathologist license is required. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CF) is preferred. Prior experience as a Speech Language Pathologist is preferred.
Salary & Benefits
Wages: Long-Term Substiute Certified Staff Rate withappropriatePELSBsubject area Certification from PELSB: $249.55/day.
Benefits:As thisassignments longer is logner than 30 contract days it is entitled to District Contribution at the Certified StaffFull-time (1.0 FTE)benefit level with appropriate PELSB certification.
