The Parts Counter person reports to the Parts Manager.

Core Responsibilities:
- Assist retail and wholesale customers in selecting the required parts and accessories and solicit additional sales.
- Locate and order parts from vendors or other outside sources and maintain contact with vendors and customers regarding order status.
- Provide customers with price quotes invoices and other information.
- Pull and fill orders from stock ensuring customers receive parts and accessories in a timely manner.
- Ensure internal requests for parts are billed on the repair order.
- Foster strong customer relationships to generate referrals and repeat business.
- Maintain the appearance of the parts counter and retail displays and assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of parts inventory areas.
- Notify the Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts or other materials that require immediate attention.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous retail or wholesale auto parts sales experience is highly favorable.
- Automotive knowledge is helpful; dealership experience is a plus.
- Experience reading and interpreting parts catalogs and working with DMS is preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills in person and over the phone.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- A valid drivers license and clean driving record are required.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
