DescriptionKEY OBJECTIVE:
As a key member of the Financial Lines underwriting department you will have the role of managing and growing a Private and Not-for-profit Management and Professional Liability book of business. As such you will play a critical role in the growth and profitability initiatives for this specialty department.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifying analyzing and developing sources of new business by actively marketing Chubb products;
- Market Focus Strategy & Execution develops new business opportunities and provides customized approaches on market conditions and broker needs works closely with leadership on the development and execution of marketing strategy.
- Risk selection coverage negotiation and pricing adequacy;
- Conduct in-depth underwriting analysis and determine best course of action on a risk-specific basis;
- Working collaboratively with a centralized underwriting team on the retention of renewals and upselling on existing renewal book;
- Cross-selling with Commercial field underwriters and Financial Lines underwriters;
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with a variety of brokers and insureds in the Central region including educating brokers on Private and Not-for-Profit Management Liability segment
- Participating in self-development activities to improve or further develop technical product knowledge.
Qualifications- Successful completion of a university-level curriculum and/or equivalent work experience;
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of Management Liability experience is required.
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset;
- Previous experience in marketing or customer development;
- Demonstrated track record of customer service orientation and proven ability to foster strong business relationships;
- Proven negotiation skills gained through established broker relationships;
- Demonstrated analytical skills with a comfort in financial analysis;
- Ability to be innovative and creative in order to develop new opportunities;
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
- Results-oriented accountable and collaborative.
