- Short Term - Temporary full-time until 16 January 2026
- Parramatta office location with flexible working supported
- PO2 offering salary range from $138539 to $148283 super
Our Senior Planning Officer is responsible for high quality efficient and timely delivery of assessment advice to ensure State significant projects meet all statutory obligations Government policy requirements and Government goals for a more robust and efficient state planning system that achieves strategic infrastructure economic and growth objectives.
You will assist in the preparation of complex state rezonings and the assessment of planning proposals in line with best practice frameworks and provide strategic planning and formal advice to identify and address complex emerging urban issues preparation of strategic plans and to support implementation and delivery of those plans. You will critically analyse and evaluate key issues and recommend innovative options and solutions. You will translate complex technical information into easy to understand plain English reports and communications.
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant environmental assessment and planning legislation and processes proven experience in stakeholder engagement negotiation and project management and degree in urban and regional planning or other relevant discipline essential.
