Your Opportunity

Mission Australia housing is an innovative collaborative and values driven housing organisations that provides social and affordable rental housing to low- and moderate-income households. As a leading national Community Housing Provider our aim is to deliver better homes in vibrant communities and services that are tailored to individual needs so our residents are supported in moving towards independence.

We are seeking an experienced allocation officers who will promote innovative and proactive solutions to meet client needs while adhering to Mission Australias core values and service standards. The role will support the allocations of properties across the portfolio and comprehensive front of house and administrative support services to clients and stakeholders and support the daily functions of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide responsive professional service to our clients to ensure the appropriate allocation practices are followed with high quality customer service
  • Ensure all documentation and updated information is available to clients
  • Provide phone support and be the point of contact for our clients
  • Liaise and link clients to support services and assist them maximize housing opportunities
  • Develop strong working relationships with a range of external and internal stakeholders
  • Manage informal appeals and complaints and actively engage tenants to participate in community programs and initiatives.
  • Support the community development team through an integrated service delivery approach

Requirements for Success

  • Demonstrated experience working in the social/affordable housing space and with vulnerable client groups
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational and analytical skills
  • Current Drivers Licence WWCC

Before starting work with us you will need to undertake a national police history check qualifications and referee checks and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
